Congratulations to the companies that have benefited from the free assistance offered by the project, which from a survey
of 1/3 of their 70+ clients revealed the creation of 23 new jobs, and £22M turnover, whilst safeguarding more than 135 jobs
and £10M turnover.
The B2B Manufacturing Centre has been based within the School of Science & Technology at the University of Teesside,
where some of the team members will join the Teesside Manufacturing Centre (01642) 342481.
The manager of the project, Brian Burgess is setting up a manufacturing consultancy, TPMPlus which is a group of
associates with excellent skills and experience in manufacturing operations at both the strategic and operational levels.
They have a track record of improving the bottom line of companies through the deployment of strategic processes, and a
framework for operational improvements.
The particular strengths are:
- The alignment of operational priorities to the strategic company objectives
- The implementation and optimisation of ERP systems
- The practise of Total Productive Management to identify the financial waste in a business, and focus resources where
the company will most benefit
